Steve, If the formats use identical field names you can just read one and write the other. The compiler will generate all the code required to load the memory location of each field from the input buffer and to the output buffer. If they have different names throughout then you could declare an externally described data structure for each and do a single move of one data structure to the other. If you use this method you need to be absolutely certain that the 2 record layouts will always remain identical.
