Chris (and any/everyone) --
I did a WRKACTJOB, and found QZHQSRVD but not QZHQSSRV. Looking at the
job log for QZHQSRVD, there are two errors dating to Monday Jan 17th,
when we IPL'd the system in the morning -- it had gotten hung up during
a system backup, and we had no choice but to IPL. Anyway, the messages
say:
The protocol required to support the specified address family is
not
available at this
time.
Host server communications error occurred on socket() - Inet
family.
The protocol required to support the specified address family is
not
available at this
time.
Host server communications error occurred on socket() - spx
family.
We run TCP/IP for our local LAN. I can understand where the spx protocol
error might have occurred, since we don't run the IPX/SPX protocol, but
the 'Inet family' protocol -- is that TCP/IP? I can verify that QTCPIP
was submitted and started successfully just a few minutes before
QZHQSRVD was submitted, during the IPL.
Hmmm... I'm not at all certain where to go with this. I am a programmer
who has been thrust into a system operator role temporarily, while our
regular operations guy recovers from surgery. :-(
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
