Robert, It sounds like you are using CRTSQLRPGI to compile directly to a *PGM object (option 14 in PDM). If this is the case, try adding DFTACTGRP(*NO) ACTGRP(*NEW) to the "H" spec. Another option is to use CRTSQLRPGI to compile to a module(option 15 in PDM), followed by CRTPGM. This is how I create all of my ILE programs (including SQL ones), so I know that it works.
