I can only assume that you have not been a member of this
list for a long time. I do not know for sure what will be in the
next release of the compiler. I have no special resource.
But, the free format C-spec and the MONITOR constructs
have been discussed on this list. The free format C-spec
debate was actually quite heated. The MONITOR construct
(as I remember it) was
C Monitor
C ... some code
C On %status(xxxxxxx)
C ... do something
C On %status(yyyyyyy)
C ... do something
C EndMon
If you have an error in the code following the Monitor
statement and the first On statement, then the On
conditions are checked. If a condition matches the
error, then it handles it and the error is circumvented.
It's been a while since this was discussed, so I might
not have got it exactly right.
