Paul,
I would consider using a program name. It can greatly simplify your message
handling
if you initialize this to a known program running on your invocation stack. I
use our menu
program. This way you can forward messages, and filter messages easily.

I replied to this before, but I don't know if you saw it. In the DDS,
there is a SFLPGMQ keyword on the message subfile and message subfile
control records. This needs to be initialised to the name of your
program, or to a single left-justified '*'.
