Our shop is looking for some automated source code scanning/analysing software for RPG III and RPG IV. The kind of analysis I'm talking about is in Steve McConnell's "Code Complete" - stuff like locality of reference, adherence to naming conventions, style guide and so forth. Something similar to running "lint" in enhanced mode for C or "Code Wizard" for C++. Does anybody on the list use a tool like this? Is one commercially available, or am I going to have to roll my own?
