Here's an example of what I did.  I created a key field STORE from a
portion of the field MLNAME.  hth.



     A
     A          R QWHFDML                   PFILE(SAMBRS)
     A            MSTORE             I      SST(MLNAME 2 5)
     A            MLNAME
     A            MLNRCD
     A            MLCHGC
     A            MLCHGD
     A          K MSTORE
     A          K MLCHGC                    DESCEND
     A          K MLCHGD                    DESCEND
