I have downloaded an output file, created from a query, to an excel spreadsheet with the following problem: Using the digits operation in query, I mapped a six byte numeric field (that stores a date) and a two byte numeric field (that stores a century)into one eight byte alpha date result. When i transferred to excel, the date is reading as "F1 F9 F9 F9...zone format. I need to sort this field for various reporting requests. How can i solve this problem either through the 400 query function or within excel. Thank you. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
