BLOBs are supported in SQL only (i.e. no DDS support) starting with V4R4.
You will need the latest database group PTF to install the function. BLOBS
and the other large object types are covered in the V4R4 SQL manuals on the
Information Center CD-ROM (SK3T-2027-02).

There will be an ILS class available later this summer that will include
coverage of large objects and other new features.
