Hi this is the first time I join in this group, With regards to your questions. Most of the time in my programming in subfile I never used loading the entire content of the file into the subfile unless I know that the size of the file is always less than 1000 records. This is to make sure that the user will got immediate system response. I always used single subfile loading technique with positioning capabilities to specific records base on file key, and my program will take control of page-up/page down key. If you define in your DDS Display file Keyword SFLSIZ equal to SFLPAG its mean your using single subfile loading. If the figure of this 2 keyword does not equal you will benefit of the system as taking care of the pageup/down key. But in your case I would suggest you used single subfile load. I dont know if you are already aware how to handle this tecnique. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
