The reason we use Data Transfer is so that we can save the AS/400 database files as Comma Separated Value files (CSV) on the PC. This will give us the option of importing these files into a Lotus Approach database during a disaster recovery scenario, so that users can access key information for some days until an AS/400 is set up ready for us to use. So Sharing or FTPing will not work.. will it? The data transfer is necessary for the data conversion we require. Thanks.. Once installed you can use AS/400 (batch?) FTP (client side) to transfer your file to the PC. The nice thing is that you don't even need to have client access on the PC. It's fast and you can choose to schedule, batch submit or interctive execute the procedure on AS/400. I mean AS/400 handles the transfer not the PC. --- Martin.Cubitt@keymed.co.uk wrote: > This message has been virus checked with appropriate software used by KeyMed (Medical & Industrial Equipment) Ltd., but neither it nor any attachments can be guaranteed free from viruses or other defects and the recipient accepts sole responsibility for any consequences arising from opening this message or any attachments.
