Jim, Nice overview, One thing that I would like to add, is that since RPG off all flavors have a bias towards fixed column formatting of the language, there was a radical change in the shift from RPG3 to RPGIV. One can take an RPG36 source member and change it to RPG with possibly a minimal amount of compile failures, but to change a RPGLE source member to RPG guarantees compile failures. The specs have a new, expanded, format. If you use RPG it uses the RPG III compiler, which >does not have > the extended C and D specs, as you state. <<snip>> +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
