For your sake, convert it to RPGIV using the command CVTRPGSRC first.

I am working on installing it but since I came into the picture at RPGIV I
don't know what the following code means exactly. I see the parts that I
can use for capturing a display but I want to get the whole pgm to work so
our helpdesk personnel can utilize this tool.

This utility was a simple utility to display a users screen. It is a
simple version of PEEKPLUS (and others)
I think you could use the idea in you application.

Good Luck,

Subject: Screen Scraper API?

Asking for a comrad at work:

I need to be able to capture the current screen and write it to a PF or
Spooled file.

Let me explain.

We have a project where users want a function key to email a screen. I can
email a spooled file with SPL2EMAIL but I need to be able to capture the
current screen. So, when the user hits F10 it captures the screen and
prompts the user for an email address to send the email to.

I know it's possible because Fax software does this.

I've tried STRCPYSCRN but that limits me to interactive screen capturing.

Make sense?

Thanks!
