"I don't mean to show off or nothing, but I answer 1 MILLION questions a day.. Would you believe 500?? Would you believe 10, and a rabid bull terrier?" Maxwell Smart. Information is free when you ask these guys directly - go to Common and meet them for yourselves! For two beers @ cuds, I know I would help jump start ANYONE in this stuff... I would do it for one even! Does that make me cheep - well the jury is still out... User groups are not that scary of a place where you can find out your information because someone has already experienced what you may be going through. It's getting to be more. ;) No, the questions are rarely the same. Very rarely. Especially since situations are so different with each case. I also try to help if for any reason to not shy people away from the AS/400 community as a whole. 99% of the time I answer the question and then encourage joining a mailing list or searching archives. There certainly are questions that could be in a FAQ. But who wants to do it. There are partial FAQs on peoples sites all over. I think the people that ask for them the most should make them. <bg> Brad > Both you and Brad mentioned that you both answer upwards of 50 > questions a day from people.
