Create a table of hex character below x'40' and a corresponding table of
characters equal to or above x'40. Then use the xlate opt code.
d bad c const(x'0102030405060708090a0b0c0d0e0f...')
d good c const(' ...')
c Bad:Good Xlate FileFld ScreenFld
I use '?' for my replacement character.

Subject: How to dispaly a field with invalid data?
Hi!
I have a file, and one of its fields (character type) may contain characters
which are below x'40'. When I move this field into a display's file field,
then do EXFMT, I receive an error message:
Permanent I/O error occurred in file
How can I avoid this?
Thanks,
Andras
