Well, I don't know the answer to your question, but I would just do
  3800 - OPNQRYF FILE(PGNL601) QRYSLT('  FUND *NE "120"
 *AND FUND *NE "502" *AND FUND %RANGE("000" "699")
 *AND FUND %RANGE("761" "999")
as a work around.
