No it isn't.   Tab is ASCII 9.   Esc is ASCII 27.

At any rate, I don't know what this guy means when he says "tab
delimiter".  He could mean that he's writing an RPG program that outputs a
stream file, in which case he might want to know that ASCII 9 is tab.

But, he might also mean that he's creating a "tabbed dialog" in Java.
(Since non-RPG questions are quite common, here) and wants to know how
to seperate each tab in his code.

He might also be creating a stream file using CPYTOIMPF or a CA download
or maybe he's trying to type it in with EDTF, or set tab stops in SEU
or another editor...   He, quite simply, didn't give enough information.  

Have I over-analyzed this enough yet? :)
