If you have your mail server framework set correctly on the 400 then here
is the CL Command you need to send the e-mail portion.

 SNDDST     TYPE(*LMSG) TOUSRID((&USER    TCPHOST)) +
              DSTD('AP HAND CHECK') LONGMSG(&USER *CAT +
              'has submitted an AP Hand Check.') +
              IMPORTANCE(*HIGH) PTY(*HIGH) +
              SUBJECT('AP HAND CHECK Submitted by ' +

Hello again everyone.  I would like to know if anyone knows how to send
a message from the AS/400 to someone as an e-mail.  I would like to be
able to compose a message on the AS/400, send it to all workstations and
also to some of the programmers in our department as an e-mail message.
Please excuse me for using this mailing list to ask this type of
question - I am in a hurry.  Any answers you may have that would help
answer this question will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much.
