You can make them all 112 if you want, you just need to make them a minimum of 92, which was the record size in S36 mode I believe. 80 characters for the actual text, and some for the line numbers and some for the dates (6 and 6 is it?). The reason most are still 92 is because they have been copied from machine to machine while upgrading and just kept that size. You can even make them longer if you want (160, etc...) although there is no real good reason for this and it would just take up more disk space for no good reason.
