Troy..
Here is an example of how I figure hours and minutes worked in a day.
D StrTmStp s z
D EndTmStp s z
C*
C EndTmStp SUBDUR StrTmStp
TotalTm:*minutes 5 0
C*
C TotalTm DIV 60
TotHrs 3 0
C MVR
TotMin 2 0
- Subtracting the strarting and ending timestamp fields to get total minutes,
then div by 60 to get hours and minutes.
- I know this is not exactly what you asked, but it gives an example of working
with timestamp fields.
Hope this helps..

Subject: Time help
Hi group
Could someone help me with some sample code on how to add *hms to a current
date (timestamp field)
I have already calculated the hours I need to add to the timestamp field
(CalcDate) I just need to add the
hours to it, to arrive at a new CalcDate field (provided) my hours are
enough to roll the date. If this doesn't
make sense then I will try to reword it. Any and all replies will be very
much appreciated. PS I'm using
RPG IV with ILE on v4r5. This is also inside a procedure.
Thanks
