Yes. Under V5R1 they added a new feature called SQL Triggers. Using this
you can trigger an event based on a column changing. There is an article
on this in the October 2001 edition of iSeries News, (formerly news/400).
There were many other features added.

Is it possible to have field sensitive trigger oppose to record
sensitive???
