SQL Problem: "Compiler directive not recognized; directive ignored. "

Hi guys!

I am starting to work with embedded SQL statements in an RPG pgm and I was
surfing on the archives.  I took a piece of code and I am trying to use it on my
new RPG program and I have this error.  What is it?  This is the code:

C/EXEC SQL
C+  SELECT DISTINCT EMDFIL INTO :EMDFIL
C+    FROM EMAILFDST
C+    WHERE EMDFIL=:EMDFIL AND
C+    EMDCMP=:EMDCMP AND
C+    EMDFAC=:EMDFAC AND
C+    EMDUSR=:EMDUSR
C/END-EXEC
