Subject: Strange SQL behavior
I found that if I don't do the OVRDBF, then SQL gives message that "IIC in
QTEMP type *FILE not found", which is normal. But after doing OVRDBF it is
happening. I did these from command line, though I think it does not matter
whether you do it from command line or by a CL program and then run
interactive SQL. Does any body have any idea why it is happening?
[bruce] Quite frankly, you told it to.
In the override, you spec a file name and basically tell the system to
ignore the library and point to the override library. So SQL, with *SYS
naming follows the override and not your request for atemp or any other
library for that file.
In other words, the library qualification is superfluous after the override.
