Hello Chris, You wrote: >Any ideas? I have a file that I need to process and then if a condition >exists I need to start back at the begining of the file. SETLL works with OPNQRYF as long as the result of the query is also keyed (presuming to want SETLL to position by key rather than RRN) The file must be defined as keyed on the F-spec otherwise RPG will position by relative record number. A sufficently large number in factor 1, interpreted as RRN, may indeed position you at end of file. NOTE: SETLL *LOVAL does not always put the file cursor at the beginning of the file. If the keyed sequence is descending *LOVAL will put you at the end of the file.
