Is the file(being written to) remaining open, or is it User-Open defined?
They may be being written and your not seeing them, because the trigger-job
is still active.

We have a trigger program that formats a record and writes it to another
database.  Something strange is occurring, because sometimes the record
does not write.  If we are in debug and step through the code, the write
works fine.  We have tried using FEOD, changing the database to force write
of record 1, and changing activation groups.  None of these work.  I was
wondering if anyone had any ideas we could try.  Thanks for the input, Andy
