Hello Chandra

I don't know if this is a keyed file or not but could
you simply add this file to PGM(B) as an input file
then pass the file keys that you would be passing if
you were passing the entire record from PGM(A).
Then simply chain to the file in PGM(B).

The other thought I had (may or may not help) is to explore the use
of the prefix keyword on the Fspec in PGM(B).

Ex...(programB) adding the file as an input file and using a prefix.

FILEIN IF E K DISK PREFIX(PRM)

In this way all of the fields in FILEIN are available to the program
with each field pre fixed PRMfld1, PRMfld2, PRMfld3,....etc.
I don't know if this would cause greif in light of the fact that other fields
from this same file are updated in PGM(B).

Thats my 2 cents worth.......

Regards ,
Clare
