Nice try.  I did check my QTEMP and found that file.  I saved it to a save
file and deleted it.  I was still able to debug the program, and see the
source.

Hi Rob,

I believe that the SQL precompiler spits the precompiled RPG code out to
QTEMP/QSQLTEMP1 which is then used as input to the RPG compiler.

What this means is that before you issue the STRDBG you must have member
FTPLOGON (if that is what it is called) in your job's QTEMP library in a
source file called QSQLTEMP1.
