As long as it is compilable as it is written, you can use CALL 'PROCNAME'.
If it is not compilable, then I believe you have to use the copy.

Hi,
I have a section of code I have to write that will be used in several
programs. Great chance to try ILE! I took a deep breath and broke out the
books. I don't want to use bind by copy because some of the compare
criteria I will be using can change. My question is, can I just write a
subprocedure, then within an IF statement use a prototyped call to get the
value I need? Or do I need to put the subprocedure into a service program?
Does any bound by reference procedure need to be in a service program?
Thanks.
