To anyone with a better memory. Seems like I surfed across a web site that had 'something' that does this, ie, generates the above for an as/400 file. I was looking for something else at the time and yesterday a colleague and I were discussing wrapping service programs around files for i/o when I 'remembered' I'd seen something that will generate the source. (saving a lot of boring old keying)... If anyone one has the site address it would be greatly appreciated as I have checked all my bookmarks and ran several searches to no avail. Thanks for any help.
