Hi Peter,
Is the module a procedure? If so, try placing the External DS above the
first procedure.
Cheers,
Martin

Subject: Data Structure in DEBUG Mode
Buenos días!
I have a situation ... and I know is so simple... well, here it goes.
I have a file:
FIMHistz5 IF E K DISK
And a data structure pointing to it:
DDS_Hist e ds extname(imhistz5)
I do access the file:
C IM_Key setll IMHistz5
C Dou *In80
C IM_Key Reade IMHistz5
After I read the file, I try to display DS_Hist but instead of having data,
I
have garbage, like:
AJAAFZ OF DS_HIST = 'AA9500D3307 '
AJACJS OF DS_HIST = '1 '
AJC9NB OF DS_HIST = 4040404.
AJDANB OF DS_HIST = .
AJAAKG OF DS_HIST = ' '
AJADZH OF DS_HIST = 404.
AJAB7D OF DS_HIST = ' '
AJABMO OF DS_HIST = 'IW'
AJAANP OF DS_HIST = ' '
AJADZR OF DS_HIST = 0404040.404
AJAB43 OF DS_HIST = 40404040404.0404
AJAAQ2 OF DS_HIST = 4040404.
AJADZS OF DS_HIST = 0404040.404
I just have a chance to display the first two fields and field #8 (AJABMO)
because those are the ones I loaded in order to do the setll/reade and field
#8
is mentioned in the calculations. I should be able to display the whole
record.
The worst thing is that I have done this before and maybe I can't remember
because today's date (Monday) or because I still have on mi mind the
fireworks
of July 4th.
What I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
