Two reasons:
a) The SQL pre-compiler is a piece of junk and is very restricive
regarding the HLL constructs it will support.
b) c+ WHERE zone1 = :cst
The colon (:) indicates a HOST VARIABLE which is not the same
thing as a constant.
Accept the limitations of the SQL pre-compiler and code:
c+ WHERE zone1 = '001'
