Reeve,
I opened a problem with this on V5R2. IBM will create an APAR. They
asked me since we can leave out the C and just use the /copy if they can
put the response in the APAR 'fixed in a future release'. I said ok.

Reeve,
Do you have a support line contract to report this issue?
I remember reporting an issue that went something like if my first calc
spec was
/free
and didn't have any C lines before it, the compiler would hurl.
What version of OS are you running?
What is the exact message id?

When I have this:
C endsr
P/copy qrpgplesrc,zzr024
?the SQL precompile bombs with SQL1106.
When I have this:
C endsr
C/copy qrpgplesrc,zzr024
?the SQL precompile works (where the first statement in "zzr024" is a "P"
to
begin the procedure).
