FRCRATIO is the number of records that can be added or updated before
forcing the write to disk. I usualy leave the default, but when I need
to make sure that the next read finds the newly added record I set it to
1. It is a balance between performance and reliable reading.
You can also change it in an OVRDBF, so you will not loose performance
when you don't need to force inmediate writing.

Hi,

I am trying to write a record to the database file through RPGIV pgm.

Though the write is successfull , I am not able to see the records in the
file as long as the program is active.

Once the program is terminated I am able to see the record written.

I am not able to find the reason for this , The file is not journalled &

it is not open in the commit mode in the pgm.

Can anyone please let me know the reason for this.

Thanks in advance
Vishnu
