You can definitely have more than one '.'. Isn't it legal to use the URL
encoding characters also?
I make sure there's a '@', at least one '.' after the '@', at least one
character before the '@', at least three characters after the '@', at least
one character between the '@' and the last '.' and at least one character
after the last '.'.

I have a new application in which the user types in an email address.
Besides checking for a single '@', a single '.', and no blanks, are
there any other things that I should be checking for when validating an
email address for correct syntax?
