At the risk of calling down fire and brimstone on my head, I tried to condense the various discussions we've had over the years into a FAQ entry. http://faq.midrange.com/data/cache/252.html Let me say that I already know I didn't do the topic justice. I fear that I've said too much unimportant stuff and glossed over the important things. Could someone vet the thing for me? As far as I'm concerned, it's just a starting point and nothing more. Do NOT hesitate to wield the editorial knife. All I want is to have a FAQ entry that beginners will feel comfortable with, which means that I'm especially begging folks new at ILE to tell me what is unclear! --buck
