Think about it.

Subject: When is a CAT not a CAT

Well, this is interesting. What am I missing?

CPHON = '503-829-8080   '
At the ass end, sPhone = ' ', but I think it *should* =
'5038298080 '

D PHNAR S 1 DIM(15)
C Eval sPhone = *Blanks
C MoveA(P) CPHON PHNAR
C Eval X = 1
 *
C DoU X = 15
C If PHNAR(X) <> ' ' And
C PHNAR(X) <> '-' And
C PHNAR(X) <> '(' And
C PHNAR(X) <> ')'
C Cat PHNAR(X) sPhone
C EndIf
C Eval X = X + 1
C EndDo

I've also tried Eval sPhone = sPhone + PHNAR(X)

But, to no avail. I are unable to build my phone number.

I watch in debug, and I see the cat/eval instruction execute, but no
data goes into the result.

Anybody know why? Am I a dummy?

TIA,

Chris
