Question about calling a stored procedure in a trigger

 Hello:

I am creating a new table called TRANS. I want to capture updates to a
certain column (ORD_NUM). I am planning to put a trigger on TRANS table for
a Update After.

 Now the question is what would my stored procedure look like?, I mean the
actual code. I need to make sure that the change is only to the column
(ORD_NUM). I need   to compare the before and after image of the trigger
buffer and then write to a new table called TRANS_ORD.


I would appreciate any help with some sample code.  Thanks in advance for
your help.
