I have a stored procedure (which is an RPG pgm) on AS400B which is called from an SQLRPGLE pgm on AS400A. These AS400's are in different parts of the country. The pgm on AS400A reads about 7 million records and calls the stored procedure about 4 million times. Performance is abysmal. I thought performance would be better than DDM'ing to two files but it is actually worse. Are there any ways to improve performance? Or to determine where the performance problem is? Does the stored procedure job on AS400B end after each call? Thanks, Phil
