I have in my possession the source code for System/3 model 15D SCP and CCP.
It's on microfiche.  If I were to 'release' this source to the world, the
world would get practically no value from it.  There isn't any hardware it
will compile on, and there isn't any hardware the binaries will run on.
Sure, we'd all get to look at it, but then what?  How much work is involved
to take the source and turn it into something that is useful?

RPG is in the same boat, exactly.
