I'm fininshing that bench timeing tests on which method of getting and processing a massive IFS file is fastest. i'll keep you posted. --------Cozzi said: Buck, Why would you need to allocate 16Meg to begin with? I would recommend creating a dynamically resizable User Space, then getting a pointer to that user space and mapping it into your variables. Do you really want to grab 16Meg of memory????
