Carsten,
I'd really like to see that, especially how to retrieve the record buffer
at runtime.
By the way, I want to make an XLS (Excel file), not XML.
Thanks in advance,
Peter
Hello Peter,
You could use the
QUSLFLD API and a
couple of Edit
APIs to retrieve
most field data
types from a
record buffer. The
C record I/O
functions would
also give you an
easy and flexible
access to retrieve
the record buffer
of any file
specified at
runtime.
I've written a
sample procedure
that outlines the
process and also
examplifies the
record retrieval
by key. You could
possible use that
as a starting
point for your XML
tool - let me know
if you want a
copy.
Best regards,
Carsten Flensburg
