If you can't do that ... What do you want prjql@ to have after that assignment? If you want 095.1, define a data structure with a subfield PRJQ1@temp defined (31,1) and have PRJQ1@ overlay it starting at position 28. (Prior to V5R1, use (30,1) and overlay at position 27.)
