Scott,
I have left all activation groups to there defaults(because I really don't
know what they are :-[ ) Also, I tried Bob's suggestion to reclaim
activation groups without success. The programs are parsing routines and
reports. What happens(in a nutshell) is source#1 reads a file containing
EDI segments, source#2 is called to parse said EDI segments(which are
passed into source#2 via parameters) and return the data contained in the
requested element. The reason I have 2 source files is I want to have
source#2 be used by a number of other programs as the parsing logic is
exactly the same regardless of what the caller / requester is doing with
the data. The current code base is being used as a proof of concept for
procedures as our shop does not currently utilize them. I do have the
CALLP coded in source#1 as well, however it is my understanding that callp
is inferred here, I may be wrong though.
Where would I specify the activation groups, is that during mod creation
or during pgm creation?

and do not understand why. Is there something I am missing during pgm
creation or something else? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in

This sounds like "source#1" is activating & getting a system pointer to
"source#2" and then source#2 is being deactivated without source#1 knowing
about it.
Your description seemed to indicate that you're using several modules
bound into a single program -- which doesn't make any sense, since there'd
be no object to resolve to in that case. You must be using program or
service program calls somewhere.
Can you please describe the programs you're using, and which activation
groups their compiled with? Also, please explain how you're going about
reclaiming these activation groups.
