Both - but currently documentation.  It should work, but due to a design
problem in the compiler it doesn't.  One day it may be fixed but has
apparently resisted all efforts so far.  Recommended approach is to use
named constants like so:

     D MyChar          s             15a   inz('  015.7503 ')
     D MyDec           s             15p 5
     D lMyDec          c                   %Len(MyDec)
     D dMyDec          c                   %DecPos(MyDec)


     C/FREE
       MyDec=%dec(MyChar : lMyDec : dMyDec);
