It's not GOTOs that are the problem, it's TAGs.

I use lots of GOTOs in interactive programs, but I have a very limited 
number of TAGs.

Though I still use GOTOs and TAGs, I also use BIFs where possible (many of 
my new batch programs have *INLR as the only indicator, and that just 
because it is required to terminate the program), service programs, 
activation groups, etc.

We don't have a written set of standards in this shop, and not much in the 
line of unwritten standards (except no new development in RPG III), so I'm 
free to use what works best.
