Hello, Order by Case is supported from release V5R2M0 on. The colomns in the same case statement must have the same field type, like character, decimal or time. Different field types must be put into different case statements: For example: C/EXEC SQL C+ Declare $SQLC1 Cursor For C+ Select Name1F, Strasse, Ort C+ from HsJako2003/Adresse C+ order by Case When :$Sort = 'NAME' then Name1F C+ When :$Sort = 'STR' then Strasse C+ When :$Sort = 'ORT' then Ort C+ Else NULL C+ End, C+ Case When :$Sort = 'TIME' then CrtTime C+ Else NULL C+ End C+ For Read Only Optimize for 3 rows Birgitta
