Bob, I thought of that, but I don't want to have to do that override every time at compile time, nor depend on someone coming after me to actually read the notes in the program to figure out how to compile it. Booth, I don't have a problem with the 2 files having the same field names (in fact I want it that way). I guess i'll just create an empty copy of the file and be done with it. Oh well... thanks anyway Rick -----Bob said-------------- Issue an override from a dummy file name in your RPG program to the actually file name, just prior to compiling.
