A few ways exist. This is one of them: use a d-spec to define a data structure for the LDA D LOCAL UDS D FIELD1 3 0 D FIELD2 10 * you can call it anything you want, and define any subfields you want use a c-spec to associate the LDA with your data structure C *DTAARA DEFINE *LDA LOCAL use c-specs to retrieve and replace the LDA C IN LOCAL * various EVAL's to change the subfields as needed C OUT LOCAL I believe this is all you need. I want to grab the LDA in a Mapics user exit. How do I define this? How long is this data area? My goal is to update a specific field and have it passed back to the calling Mapics program.
