Thanks for all the help.  Since it's a temporary work file I just changed
all the fields in the file to character.  I had the RPGIV program write the
header information in each field and wrote that as the first record.  Then
continued on with the detail information and didn't have to use MOVE, I was
able to use EVAL csvpffield = %CHAR(numericfld).
