Before this question gets totally buried in a blizzard of 'XLATE vs. SCAN vs.
[your favorite here]' -- here's a generic snippet of CL that might point you in
a useful direction:
---------------- Begin copy/paste
pgm
dcl &ErrCod *char 8 value( x'0000000000000000' )
dcl &qMQ *char 20
dcl &rcvvar *char 150
dcl &MQfull *char 10
dcl &CurSiz *dec ( 9 0 )
dcl &Sev *dec ( 9 0 )
chgvar &qMQ ( 'QSYSOPR ' *cat '*LIBL' )
call QMHRMQAT ( +
&rcvvar +
x'00000096' +
'RMQA0100' +
&qMQ +
&ErrCod +
)
chgvar &MQFull %sst( &RcvVar 141 10 )
chgvar &CurSiz %bin( &RcvVar 33 4 )
chgvar &Sev %bin( &RcvVar 49 4 )
dmpclpgm
return
endpgm
---------------- End copy/paste
Converting it to RPG could be done in a few minutes depending on how fancy you
want to get.
The snippet calls the Retrieve Nonprogram Message Queue Attributes (QMHRMQAT)
API against the QSYSOPR message queue that it finds in the job's library list.
It then extracts the Message queue full action, the Current storage size and
the Severity code filter attributes from the structure returned from the API,
and dumps the CL program. The extracted attribute values are just
representative of some attributes with storage size particularly included.
Maybe it's what you're after. If not, ask again and we can try again.
